JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
Driver Warehouse Workers receive and store freight, load transporting vehicles, and deliver and pick up supplies, materials, and equipment.
The Driver/Warehouse Trainee works under the supervision of the Supply Tech III and consults with them on a regular basis. Duties include accepting deliveries of supplies and equipment verifying deliveries against invoices; reporting any damaged items; examining produce upon receipt for freshness; keeping log for all UPS deliveries; delivering food, office supplies, equipment etc., to Ely State Prison (ESP); ensuring all trucks are loaded and secure; check load against shipping receipts to ensure all items are accounted for; and have receiver re-inventory shipment and sign shipping receipt. Incumbents will be working directly with and supervising inmate workers, monitoring their work performance for evaluations and reporting infraction of established rules and regulations pertaining to inmates; ensuring that all warehouse keys and tools are accounted for and lost keys or tool are reported immediately to Supply Tech II; and observing all safety practices at all times. **Please ensure your application reflects at least one year of full time equivalent (FTE) experience that included taking inventory and moving and rotating materials or merchandise in a warehouse, stockroom or retail establishment. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Special Requirements
Driver Warehouse Worker Trainees must obtain a Class B commercial driver's license within 6 months of appointment as a condition of continuing employment.
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for fingerprinting.
A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
As a condition of employment, pursuant to NRS 284.4066, this position has been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in this position must first submit to a pre-employment screening test for controlled substances.
