Licensed Professional Engineers provide professional services involving the application of engineering principles and data, or activities in connection with public or private utilities, structures, buildings, machines, equipment or projects impacting the public welfare or the safeguarding of life, health or property.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This position is located within District II, Construction Division in Reno, NV. Incumbents will assist the Resident Engineer and Assistant Resident Engineer maintaining and managing a construction field office and a construction field laboratory, including facilities for materials testing, physical properties of Portland Cement/Concrete, bituminous mixtures, soils and untreated aggregates, physical and chemical properties of treated aggregates; planning, organizing, directing and overseeing the work of technical employees engaged in construction inspection and surveying. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others. Current Licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) |

A person that is a licensed Professional Engineer in another state must become licensed as a Professional Engineer in Nevada within six months of appointment as a condition of employment.

Registration as a Professional Engineer is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
|
|
A valid drivers license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. |
