Clinical Social Workers provide clinical services to clients/inmates in a residential, home, inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, correctional or similar setting.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services (SNAMHS) is currently recruiting for Clinical Social Workers. Positions will be located at Stein Forensic Hospital which is a secure inpatient hospital for mentally disordered offenders located in Las Vegas, NV who have been court ordered to undergo assessment, treatment, competency restoration education, and competency evaluations to proceed with their criminal cases. This position typically works a 40-hour a week day time schedule. SNAMHS is an exciting place to work with emphasis on utilizing the recovery model, developing innovative programs, increasing consumer and family involvement, educating the public through a variety of activities, and implementing a best practices clinical program. Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker by the Board of Examiners for Social Workers.

A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items. |

A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. |

The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience.
