The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
Review Appraisers appraise real property and review appraisals of all types of properties including complex commercial, industrial and special purpose; prepare fully-supported and documented determinations of just compensation for the acquisition of rights-of-way or disposal of surplus properties; conduct market rent studies and cost estimates; and serve as an expert witness in condemnation proceedings.
Incumbents continue to receive training in performing the duties described in the series concept and may progress to the journey level upon meeting the minimum qualifications, satisfactory performance, with the approval of the appointing authority.
This position is located within the Right-of-Way Division, in Carson City. Incumbent will develop appraisals and appraisal reviews; produce appraisal reports and appraisal review reports, involving the acquisition of property and property rights for transportation projects, as well as for the disposal of surplus properties. Appraisals and appraisal reviews for right-of-way purposes use state-rule valuation techniques and follow eminent-domain reporting formats; other duties also include the preparation of cost estimates, rental evaluations and studies, and assignments involving consultation and advisement. Incumbents oversee administration and coordination, adhere to office protocol and procedures, and are responsible for work adjustments and adaptability. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Registration as an Appraiser Intern and two years of experience in real property appraisal; OR one year of experience as a Review Appraiser Intern I with the State of Nevada.
Special Requirements
A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
Positions at the Review Appraiser Intern II and I require registration as an Appraiser Intern with the Nevada State Real Estate Division within three months of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
