Psychiatric Caseworkers monitor the treatment and progress of mentally ill or developmentally disabled clients, perform day treatment and psychosocial rehabilitation activities, and coordinate discharge and aftercare services, in an outpatient, inpatient, clinic, residential, treatment center, client's home and other community settings.

Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. The Nevada DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (DCFS) is recruiting for a Psychiatric Caseworker II, which may be located in Reno or Las Vegas depending on the location of the most qualified candidate and the needs of the agency. This position will assist the Training Officer with developing and training pediatric service providers and assist with the development of a database and website dedicated to providing access to pediatric mental health care services as part of the Division's newly awarded federal U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grant. The purpose of this grant is to develop, implement and evaluate sustainability strategies for a behavioral health integration program in pediatric primary care statewide by supporting the creation of a new statewide pediatric mental health care telehealth and telephone access program.

This position is full-time Monday thru Friday 8 am to 5 pm with a regular work schedule that includes a variable work agreement with overtime after 40 hours per week.
