Casework Management Specialists within the Department of Health & Human Services, Division of Child & Family Services, provide case management services for children and their families and may be assigned to one of many specialized programs and/or facilities where duties may be performed in the home and/or any similar setting.
Incumbents act as a lead-worker on a regular and reoccurring basis over a staff of lower-level Casework Management Specialist 3, 2 and 1 positions.
DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES positions function as lead-worker to assigned staff, organize workflow, delegate responsibility and provide training while providing child welfare services to children and families and community contacts to develop and implement a case plan that presents intervention strategies to meet the child's needs. The incumbent provides ongoing case management services by developing and implementing plans of care; including home visits; monitoring services; report preparation and record keeping; and providing technical information and educational services. This is a full-time position located in Carson City. Position includes a variable work agreement that will be scheduled to work hours and days different than 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday with overtime after 40 hours per week. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, special education, human growth and development, criminal justice, psychology, counseling, social work, sociology or closely related social/human services related field and three years of professional experience providing case management services specific to children in a health and/or human services setting; OR one year of experience as a Casework Management Specialist 3 in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience above the Bachelor's degree level as described above. |
