The Position
Under immediate supervision, incumbents perform a variety of duties at the sub-journey level while receiving training for advancement to an entry-level professional class related to fiscal or business management functions in State government.
This underfill for a Management Analyst I position will work in the Primary Care and Health Workforce Development Office to conduct research on health care professional requirements within Nevada, as well as in other states including education and training, licensure and certification, Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement, state personnel classification, scopes of practice and loan repayment and scholarship. In addition, this position will assist management with development of policies and procedures, provider data tracking and analysis, and budget projections and tracking of expenditures. This work supports recruitment and retention of health care professionals for underserved areas throughout Nevada. *** THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE AT ANY TIME BASED ON THE AMOUNT OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business or public administration, accounting, finance or similar discipline directly related to fiscal or business management; OR two years of journey level technical or paraprofessional experience in the field in which the applicant is to be trained.
Special Requirements
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
    Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
Additional Position Criteria
    Data tracking and analysis, expenditure tracking, and research experience is required.
    Microsoft Excel Beginner level
