Health Program Managers provide administrative direction for programs related to maternal, child and family health, nutrition, disease control, or other health programs.
This is a Health Program Manager II position within the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program Section of the Bureau of Child, Family, and Community Wellness, Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH) located in Carson City, Nevada. This management position is responsible for fiscal oversight of the Nevada WIC program, ensuring compliance with state and federal rules and regulations. This position holds accountability for WIC operations across the State of Nevada through grant management and functional performance evaluation through the establishment of outcome-based performance measures and workload indicators. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public health, human services, social science, behavioral science or related field and four years of increasingly responsible professional experience in a health-related field, two years of which included providing or coordinating the delivery of health care services, budget preparation and control, and the interpretation and implementation of complex regulations. Of the two years of experience, one year must have included supervision of professional staff; OR one year of experience as a Health Program Manager I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Position Criteria
Experience preparing grant applications and managing grant awards is required.
