JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
The Division of Parole and Probation (P&P) has an opening in their Carson City Headquarters office for a Management Analyst 1. The position is focused on providing technical expertise in statistical analysis including the interpretation of such analysis into presentations and reports. The incumbent develops, recommends, and implements improved operating procedures, forms, and work processes and uses specified computer applications to design and manage databases or spreadsheet files and develop special report formats. Experience with Crystal Reports software is preferred. The incumbent is also the supervisor of the General Supervision Unit which includes two Administrative Assistant 3's who in turn supervise four Administrative Assistant 2's and three Administrative Assistant 1's. *** THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE AT ANY TIME BASED ON THE AMOUNT OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and one year of professional or paraprofessional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures, or administration of policies and procedures for a program or functional area; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis.
Special Notes
Without the required Bachelor's degree this position would require 5 years of experience of which 2 years were at the paraprofessional level and 3 years that were at the professional level performing research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures.
Special Requirements
A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
Additional Position Criteria
Experience performing database queries and using that extracted data to create, update and generate statistical reports is required.
