The Position
Maintenance Repair Workers perform semi-skilled work in the building and mechanical trades to repair, construct, and/or maintain buildings, facilities and equipment. 
Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation.
Nevada Division of State Parks is recruiting for a seasonal Maintenance Repair Worker I position at the Eastern Region Headquarters in Panaca, NV. This seasonal position will only be funded until June 30, 2019, although funding may be available through the end of July 2019 depending on budget restraints. Incumbents for this position must be able to perform basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical tasks to include maintenance on water and sewer systems. Incumbents will work under the direction of the Facility Manager and will assist in general park operations and maintenance throughout the Eastern Region. Incumbents may be required to work various hours and shifts including holidays and weekends. Applicants may also be required to demonstrate the ability to perform job-related tasks during an interview. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    One year of experience in performing general building, grounds and equipment maintenance work; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Notes
    As part of the hiring process, applicants for positions at the Division of Nevada State Parks may be required to demonstrate the ability to perform job-related tasks.
Special Requirements
    A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
    Some positions require work on evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
