The Position
Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
The Management Analyst II maintains, develops and analyzes Elder Rights unit data, and determines processes to increase efficiencies while remaining in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. MA IIs evaluate policies and procedures and make recommendations to ensure efficient collection and reporting of program data. Incumbents compile, analyze and prepare data used for Elder Rights Unit reports; prepare required federal, state, departmental and agency reports by the required deadlines; monitor reports to track program performance including deficiencies, work flow projections and trends; and assist with quality management development and related activities. This position provides oversight of various grants that provide services to Elder Rights Unit. The incumbent will work closely with ADSD Grants Unit to renew and develop appropriate grants to assist and promote Elder Rights, and will provide oversight of grants to keep Chief and Program Managers apprised of grants status including but not limited to utilization, balances, projections, end dates, etc. This position will assist with preparation of the Division's biennial budget as directed by managerial and Administrative staff and will supervise an AA III.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis.

    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
    Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
