Administrative Services Officers function as business managers for a large division or major program area or facility, with responsibility for accounting, budgeting and business management of various services and operations.
This position is located in the Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH) Office of Administration, in Carson City. Under the direction of the Division's Administrator and Deputy Administrator, the incumbent is responsible for the management of the fiscal and support services of DPBH; and provides oversight on the performance of the purchasing, contracts, budgeting, fiscal management, accounting, business operations, internal controls, biennial budget programs, and biennial revisions of the Division. The position supervises lower level Administrative Services Officers. The State of Nevada and DPBH offer an excellent benefits package that includes health, dental and vision insurance, participation in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), accrual of 15 days of annual and 15 days of sick leave, 11 paid holidays and no city, county, state or social security tax!

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business
administration, accounting, finance or a related field and seven years of professional experience in formulating, developing and analyzing agency budgets; fiscal management; and management of multiple business operations, two years of which were equivalent to an Administrative Services Officer III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |
