JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
Health Resource Analysts assist in the development, maintenance, implementation, and revision of State health care policies and programs.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This position supports the Primary Care Office (dpbh.nv.gov/Programs/Primary_Care_Office/) for the Division of Public and Behavioral Health in Carson City, where our mission is to increase access to primary care (including dental and mental health) by leveraging federal resources, such as the National Health Service Corps and the Conrad 30/J-1 Physician Visa Waiver program. A variety of skills are required, including data analysis and planning to develop computer-based applications for federal shortage designations; interpersonal skills to conduct outreach and coordination for recruitment and retention of health care professionals; writing and communication skills to develop outreach materials, presentations, guidelines, forms, and other professional correspondence; and organizational skills to ensure timely review and submission of applications. Federally supported software applications are utilized for designation work and site applications. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in the health sciences, public administration, social sciences or closely related field and two years of experience in the health/social sciences or related field which involved analysis of health data, identification of health care needs, and the development of health care reports, policies and programs; OR two years experience as a Health Resource Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
