Personnel Analysts are responsible for performing comprehensive personnel functions for a state department, division or agency. Work may involve employee relations, recruitment and selection, classification and compensation,
employee development, benefit administration, staffing and payroll.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
Agency HR Services invites you to join their exciting, innovative and fast-paced human resources team as a Personnel Analyst 2. Agency HR Services, within the Division of Human Resource Management, serves multiple state agencies including Departments of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Agriculture, Education, Administration, Taxation and Business and Industry. The Personnel Analyst 2 will be actively involved in employee relations, consulting with managers, supervisors and employees on workplace issues, grievances and disciplinary actions. Additionally, the incumbent will develop a thorough knowledge of the variety of unique classifications in order to assist agencies with their organizational needs and provide effective recruiting strategies. Coordinating and facilitating high volume recruiting is an integral part of this position. The Personnel Analyst 2 will, once trained, also provide oversight of the ADA, FMLA, Workers Compensation, and Catastrophic Leave functions. Travel up to 25% of the time may be required.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in public administration or a related field and two years of progressively responsible professional personnel experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant. |

Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment. |
