JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
Under general direction of the Social Services Program Specialist 3, the position will coordinate commodity food orders so that organizations get the food needed to participants in various USDA programs. This position will have oversight for The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) and coordinate the USDA Foods Program, including coordinating the annual renewal process for food processors, providing product availability, and communicating with agencies and sponsors to discuss needs and problems experienced with items purchased. This position will coordinate orders for various USDA food programs, process the related agency invoices, and receive orders into the appropriate systems. The position will also partner in the implementation of state Plans of Operation, developing and distributing annual distribution schedules, correct billing, manage budget authority, invoice sponsors, and collect data. In addition, this position will be responsible for tracking and managing inventory, collecting and processing agency/sponsor orders, and participating in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for processed end products. The position will also be expected to collect product and purchasing data to influence future planning for programs. The incumbent will need to travel up to 25% for this position.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business or public administration, health or social sciences, or closely related field and one year of paraprofessional experience which included acquisition and inventory; interpretation of laws and regulations; and assisting in the implementation of program performance standards and objectives for providing services; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of paraprofessional experience equivalent to an Administrative Assistant III in Nevada State service performing duties as described above; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
