Administrative Assistants perform a broad variety of clerical, secretarial and administrative support duties in an assigned agency, program or other work unit within State government and the Nevada System of Higher Education.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
This Administrative Assistant 3 position serves as the Nevada WebIZ Help Desk Manager within the Disease Prevention and Investigation's State Immunization Program. The position manages the user support services of Nevada WebIZ (the statewide immunization information system, or SIIS) by monitoring and maintaining data quality, developing training material(s) and correspondence, independently identifying and seeking resolution of complex problems found in the SIIS, serving as the liason between State and SIIS vendor staff, and supervising the Nevada WebIZ Help Desk position. This position works with other program staff to ensure continued compliance with the SIIS statute and regulations. The position is responsible for resolving high-level problems found in the SIIS, assisting the Nevada WebIZ Manager with development and implementation of marketing and outreach strategies, development and maintenance of program web pages, and various other projects as assigned. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
Additional Position Criteria
Experience identifying and resolving data quality issues in Nevada WebIZ is required.
