Casework Management Specialists within the Department of Health & Human Services, Division of Child & Family Services, provide case management services for children and their families and may be assigned to one of many specialized programs and/or facilities where duties may be performed in the home and/or any similar setting.
The DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES positions are assigned to provide child welfare services to children and families and community contacts to develop and implement a case plan that presents intervention strategies to meet the child's needs; provides ongoing case management services by developing and implementing plans of care including home visits, monitoring services, report preparation and record keeping, and providing technical information and educational services. Incumbents receive training in performing the duties outlined in the series concept.
This is a full-time position located in Ely, Nevada. Ely is the largest city and county seat of White Pine County. Ely's population is 4,255 and is a charming frontier town on the list the 50 best small towns in America. Ely, the best mountain town in Nevada, with Great Basin National Park 60 miles to the southeast, boasts year-round outdoor recreation, unique history, and arts and culture. Ely is three hours from Elko, five hours from Las Vegas and six hours from Reno.
DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES positions are assigned to provide child welfare services to children and families and community contacts to develop and implement a case plan that presents intervention strategies to meet the child's needs. Provides ongoing case management services by developing and implementing plans of care; including home visits; monitoring services; report preparation and record keeping; and providing technical information and educational services. Positions include a variable work agreement that will be scheduled to work hours and days different than 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday such as swing shift and weekends, with overtime after 40 hours per week.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, special education, human growth and development, criminal justice, psychology, counseling, social work, sociology or closely related social/human services related field. |

Positions require a valid driver's license, or equivalent mobility, at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. |
