Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
This position is located in Carson City within the Administrative Services Division, Records Management Section. The incumbent will be responsible for management and administration associated with the planning, coordination and direction of the Records Management, Mail Services and Reprographics programs, including supervising assigned staff. The incumbent is responsible for the program development including new processes, procedures and systems and will manage and process all requests for information and validate the release or restriction of official state records in accordance with the Nevada Open Records Act (NRS 239). Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis. |

Without the required Bachelor's degree this position would require 6 years of experience, 2 years of paraprofessional experience and 4 years that were at the professional level performing research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures. |

The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience.
