Under immediate supervision, Student Workers perform routine and repetitive duties, which require basic skills and can be learned in a short time, generally less than a week.
This is a PART TIME POSITION located within District I, Tonopah. The hours vary and are flexible based on the needs of the student. Incumbent will perform receptionist duties to include greeting visitors, answering telephone calls and routing to appropriate staff members, typing correspondence and other materials; distributing mail to appropriate sections or individuals; and maintaining a variety of files. Applicants must possess and maintain a valid driver's license as a condition of employment as the student worker may be required to run small errands locally. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Current enrollment in, or recent graduation from, an educational program leading to a high school diploma. |

When employing students, appointing authorities must comply with NRS 609 and the child labor provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. |

This class is used to employ students or high school graduates, but employment may not extend beyond six months from date of graduation. The student will be required to provide proof of enrollment in an educational program or of high school graduation.

Applicants must be at least 17 years old and currently enrolled in, or recent graduates from, an educational program leading to a high school diploma. |
