The Position
Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
This position is located in the Project Accounting Division, in Carson City. The incumbent will ensure projects meet all federal requirements; ensure projects are appropriately funded; obtain federal approval and authorize projects to commence to advertisement; establish projects in the IFS system; track scheduled projects; and maintain historical fiscal information; and serve as liaison to all NDOT divisions and with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). The incumbent is also responsible for grant management including managing federal grants in accordance with the code of federal regulations (CFR's), Uniform Guidance and CFR 200 Part E (Cost Principles). The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the State regulations that are applied when using federal grant funds. Women and under-represented groups are encouraged to apply. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis.
Additional Position Criteria
    Grants management experience including experience with federal draws and federal grant match is required.
