Licensed Psychologists provide psychological testing, evaluation, psychotherapy, counseling, and consultation to clients or inmates in residential, inpatient and outpatient settings, at a mental health, intellectual disabilities, or correctional facility, or in other settings where psychological services are provided.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
This position is located with Northern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services (NNAMHS) in Sparks, NV and will be assigned to Dini-Townsend Hospital, Outpatient Counseling and Psychological Services on the NNAMHS campus and will be responsible for psychology representation on the treatment teams. Duties will include psychological services including individual and group therapy, behavior support planning, consultation, psychological testing, assessments and related duties as otherwise assigned. This position will provide training and supervision for Doctoral Psychology Interns (through the Nevada Psychology Internship Consortium-NV-PIC), post-doctoral fellow, doctoral practicum students and field placement students. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

One year of post-doctoral experience in providing psychological services in an inpatient, outpatient or residential setting. |

Licensed Psychologist I's and Licensed Psychologist II's must possess current licensure as a Psychologist issued by the State of Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners at the time of appointment and maintain licensure as a condition of continuing employment. |

A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.

A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant. |
|
Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment. |
