Under administrative direction of the Deputy Chief, Right-of-Way, incumbents supervise the acquisition and management of land and rights-of-ways or manage and coordinate the relocation of utilities and railroads required by the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) on a statewide basis. Incumbents function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action.

This position is located within the Right-of-Way Division, in Carson City. Incumbent coordinates statewide right-of-way project activities, schedules and budgets associated with utility and railroad activities, and property management programs in order to accomplish Department goals and objectives; supervises and evaluates the performance of subordinate supervisors to ensure the timely and effective operation of the Right-of-Way Division; reviews relocation plans, prior rights analysis, and procedures used to determine compensation; ensures that Department policies and procedures are followed for all project and property management related activities.
