Maintenance Repair Specialists perform a variety of skilled work in two or more of the mechanical and construction trades in order to repair, construct, and/or maintain buildings, grounds and equipment.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This position is located within the Administrative Division, Carson City. The incumbent will perform a variety of skilled work in the building and mechanical trades in order to repair, construct, and/or maintain buildings, grounds, and equipment. The incumbent will plan, layout, and perform repairs and maintenance activities for multiple NDOT buildings in Carson City and work closely with Contractors, vendors, and suppliers to assure that jobs are done in a proper and timely manner. Four years of progressively responsible experience under the supervision of journey level trades persons in two or more of the major building or mechanical trades which included responsibility for performing a variety of repair and maintenance activities, laying out jobs and ordering materials; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
