The Position
Retail Storekeepers perform merchandising and inventory control duties to maximize profits in a retail store or e-Commerce environment which includes canteen stores and coffee shops in correctional facilities and other State retail operations.
Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation. OR Incumbents perform basic tasks or elements of the job not requiring the additional knowledge, skills and abilities to perform at the next level in the series.
Incumbents are responsible for inputting inmate orders through the Scantron or Inmate Kiosk system and printing out receipts and lists of authorized purchases; distribute inmate orders through a secure window or deliver merchandise to custody for bag delivery. Incumbent will also be responsible for inventory control and maintaining store security. Will be working closely with the inmate population. This position is located at Lovelock Correctional Center in Lovelock, NV.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
One year of storekeeping or retail experience which included stocking, sales and/or customer service.
Special Requirements
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
A valid drivers license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
