The Position
Under general supervision of the Prison Industries Supervisor, perform responsible farm work at a correctional institution farm, supervise and instruct an inmate crew; and perform related work as required. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
This position is located at Northern Nevada Correctional Center's diversified farm operations facilities in Carson City, Nevada. The incumbent performs a broad range of responsible farm work and provides supervision of inmates and instruction on various farm tasks. Please ensure your application details three years of full time equivalent (FTE) farming experience, with at least one year of experience supervising farm laborers. Failure to do so will result in the denial of your application.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Three years of general farm experience, one year of which was supervising a crew of farm laborers.
Special Requirements
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
