Clinical Social Workers provide clinical services to clients/inmates in a residential, home, inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, correctional or similar setting.
Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation.

This part-time (.75 FTE) Clinical Social Worker I position is located within the Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) of Health and Human Services - Nevada Early Intervention Services (NEIS), Reno, NV. The incumbent will be under-filling a Clinical Social Worker II position and will be auto-progressed to the next level in the series upon meeting the minimum qualifications and upon Appointing Authority approval. NEIS provides services to children under the age of three with developmental delays or disabilities and their families. Services are generally provided in the home and strategies are embed into everyday routines. Responsibilities include review and follow up of referrals from social services agencies, facilitating networking groups with parents, multidisciplinary eligibility and ongoing assessment with emphasis on social emotional development and outcomes, contributing to Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) and service delivery, participating in monthly team meetings designed to address social emotional topics and intervention, supporting staff in professional quality of life skills and their knowledge of infant/toddler mental health through ongoing facilitation and reflective practice, and contributing to program goals to improve quality social emotional outcomes for children. This position also includes case management responsibilities. ADSD provides an atmosphere of innovative thinking, teamwork, and friendly co-workers, and promotes a positive work environment. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work and an internship approved by the Board of Examiners for Social Workers. |

Must be in or eligible for an internship for licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Social Workers, or must hold a license in the State of Nevada as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. |

A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for fingerprinting. |
