The Position
Health Program Managers provide administrative direction for programs related to maternal, child and family health, nutrition, disease control, or other health programs.
Health Program Manager III's manage supervisory and professional staff engaged in the provision of health-related services through a regional Early Intervention Services program to families and children who have known or suspected developmental delays, are at risk of becoming developmentally delayed, and/or have chronic diseases.
This position is located within the Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) of Health and Human Services, Autism Treatment Assistance Program, a statewide program that can be filled in the Carson City or Las Vegas region. This position serves as the statewide program manager for the Autism Treatment Assistance Program (ATAP). Autism Treatment Assistance Program (ATAP) was created to assist parents and caregivers with the expensive cost of providing Autism-specific treatments to their child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). ATAP provides a monthly allotment to pay for on-going treatment development, supervision and a limited amount of weekly intervention hours based upon a child's individual treatment plan, age, and income. This position is responsible for the following: creating and implementing the policies and procedures for all staff and clinical providers specific to the ATAP program; developing and implementing regulation; reporting of caseload statistics; budget preparation which includes long range planning; monitoring the overall ATAP budget; and supervision of management and professional level staff to ensure program needs are met. ADSD provides an atmosphere of innovative thinking, teamwork, friendly co-workers, promotes a positive working environment. The mission of the Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) is to provide leadership and advocacy in the planning, development and delivery of a high quality, comprehensive support service system across the lifespan to allow all of Nevada's elders, children and adults with disabilities or special health care needs, to live independent, meaningful and dignified lives to the greatest extent possible.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public health, human services, social science, behavioral science, special education or related field and five years of increasingly responsible professional experience in a health-related field, three years of which included budget preparation and control, program planning and evaluation, and interpretation and implementation of complex regulations. Of the three years of experience, two years must have included supervision of professional staff; OR one year of experience as a Health Program Manager II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
Additional Position Criteria
    Professional work experience with behavioral therapy or autism services.
    Professional work experience managing within a complex, statewide program.
