Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
This position is primarily responsible for the management of the NDOW contracting process. This includes drafting new contracts, amending existing contracts, facilitating request for proposals, accounts payable for existing contracts, accounts receivable for existing contracts, agency contact for all contract related issues, and to ensure NDOW is in compliance with all regulations related to the State of Nevada contracting process. Other duties include maintenance of agency inventory reports, quarterly accounts receivable reports, and professional interaction with vendors and agency stakeholders. To adequately perform all of these duties, the candidate must have stellar interpersonal skills, advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel, and possess strong presentation skills to an audience of NDOW leadership, vendors, and/or agency stakeholders.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis. |

Without the required Bachelor's degree this position would require 6 years of experience, 2 years of paraprofessional experience and 4 years that were at the professional level performing research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures. |

Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment. |
|
A State of Nevada/FBI background check may be required of the selected applicant. |
