The Position
Education Programs Directors, Supervisors, and Professionals assist and foster the growth of early childhood, pre-K, K-12, postsecondary, adult, and related education programs throughout Nevada by providing technical assistance, training, and oversight.

The State Public Charter School Authority (SPCSA) is a young, small agency with big impact. The SPCSA is a statewide charter school authorizer and serves as the local educational agency for the fastest growing and most rapidly diversifying public school system in Nevada. Under the general direction of the Director of Authorizing and Education Programs Supervisor for the State Public Charter School Authority (SPCSA), the Education Programs Professional is responsible for the oversight of the academic framework, assisting in the review and renewal processes of public charter school applications, and conducting site visits of schools on a regular basis. The position monitors assessment and accountability efforts including measurement of student progress over time, student achievement, college and career readiness, and schools' mission-specific academic goals. Duties include, but are not limited to, analyzing and interpreting education program related data; developing education standards; and ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements. The ideal candidate has detailed knowledge and experience in whole school design; has general knowledge of comprehensive school reform models; has general knowledge and experience in whole school program evaluation; general knowledge of educational accountability models; is highly motivated; demonstrates professional, effective written and verbal communication skills; and has quantitative analysis experience in the area of evaluation and measurement of student achievement. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    An earned Doctoral degree from an accredited college or university in business, economics, education, English, math, nutrition, psychology, science, sociology, statistics, or related field and one year of professional experience in an educational program area; OR Master's degree from an accredited college or university in business, economics, education, English, math, nutrition, psychology, science, sociology, statistics, or related field and two years of professional experience in an educational program area.
Special Requirements
    Positions require statewide travel.
    This position requires a State of Nevada/FBI background check, at the cost of the applicant.
    Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
Additional Position Criteria
    Experience analyzing and reporting on federal and state required criteria of school performance.
    Experience helping schools and school districts design and implement programs that support a diverse student population in achieving targeted academic outcomes.
    Experience in the areas of elementary or secondary education.

The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview. The hiring agency may require specific skills related testing as part of the interviewing process.
