The Position
Education Programs Professionals assist and foster the growth of K-12, postsecondary, and related education programs throughout Nevada by providing technical assistance, training, and oversight.
Under the direction of the Supervisor, this position will serve as an Education Program Professional within the Accountability Program Unit in the Nevada Department of Education (NDE) Office of Assessment, Data, and Accountability Management (ADAM). This position requires knowledge of the accountability provisions of the Every Student Succeeds Act, an understanding of State school accountability design, and an ability to inform State education activities in the context of that federal law. Successful candidates will be a collaborative member of an accountability team that is responsible for federally and state mandated program areas: Nevada Report Card; Nevada School Performance Framework (NSPF) and Alternate Performance Framework (APF. This position requires data analysis and interpretation skills, familiarity with state and federal accountability and reporting requirements, and regulations. The candidate selected for this position will lead advisory groups and will be the subject matter expert to the NDE with respect to federal accountability requirements. This position has a travel requirement of up to 25%.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    An earned Doctoral degree from an accredited college or university in business, economics, education, English, math, nutrition, psychology, science, sociology, statistics, or related field and one year of professional experience in an educational program area; OR Master's degree from an accredited college or university in business, economics, education, English, math, nutrition, psychology, science, sociology, statistics, or related field and two years of professional experience in an educational program area.

    Positions require program-specific education and/or experience which will be identified by the agency at the time of recruitment.
Special Requirements
    Positions require statewide travel.
    College transcripts must be submitted with the employment application.
    This position requires a State of Nevada/FBI background check, at the cost of the applicant.
    Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
Additional Position Experience
    This position requires experience with Program Accountability and Evaluation Analysis.
