DMV Services Managers plan, organize, coordinate, develop, and implement a broad variety of services and programs provided by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
The DMV Services Manager III is responsible for managing the Statewide Emission Control Program. The DMV Services Manager III works collaboratively with the Division of Environmental Protection, State Environmental Commission and Clark and Washoe Counties. Additionally this position works closely with the industry regulated by the Department and various program areas with the Department. The DMV Services Manager III is responsible for supervision over Divisional staff, accountable for the Vehicle Information Database otherwise known as the VID, management of Division projects, and participation in the Legislative and Regulatory process.
DMV Services Managers in the division plan, organize, coordinate, implement and monitor major State and Federal programs in Department wide programs in one of the following areas: Emission Control Program and duties associated with each assignment.
Managers will develop, modify, monitor and manage emission control programs and activities including those for gasoline and diesel powered vehicles, emission stations and inspectors, evaluation of federal regulations, assessment of program needs, evaluation of requests from county and local agencies for program enhancements/modifications, evaluation of compliance with designated air quality, environmental and consumer protection standards, development of emission control education and training, equipment testing and standards, program monitoring for State and Federal compliance, dispute resolution and certification of emission inspectors.
DMV shall not knowingly employ a person if they have been convicted of any of the felonies listed under the Real ID regulation, which includes Espionage, Sedition, Treason, Terrorism, Transportation Security Incident, Improper Transportation of a Hazardous Material, Unlawful Possession of Explosives, Murder, Making any Threat Concerning a Lethal Device, Racketeering. Additional Real ID criteria provides that the DMV shall not employ a person if they have been convicted of a felony within 7 years of their application or if an applicant was released from incarceration for one of these crimes within five years of their application including Unlawful Firearm Violations, Extortion, Fraud, Bribery, Smuggling, Immigration Violations, Distribution of Controlled Substances, Arson, Kidnapping, Rape or Sexual Abuse, Assault With Intent to Kill, Robbery, or Fraudulent Seaport Entry.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, or other discipline related to the position and four years of increasingly responsible professional experience which included program development or implementation, at least two years of which were at the supervisory level; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and eight years of varied and increasingly responsible experience related to registration/titling of motor vehicles or licensing motor vehicle operators, at least two years of which were at the supervisory level; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. |

A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant. |

This position requires experience in the field of study for reducing motor vehicle emissions. |

This position requires experience in planning, organizing, and directing statewide environmental program(s) to ensure compliance with State and Federal laws, rules and regulations with the program of air quality. |
