The Position
The State Records Manager and Records Analysts perform a broad range of professional duties in support of the State Records Center which houses and provides access to agency records. Incumbents perform administrative work in planning, coordinating and directing activities in a records management program that is responsible for the maintenance, use, retention and disposition of government records statewide.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This supervisory position works within the Department of Administration's Nevada State Library Archives & Public Records (NSLAPR) division and is located in Carson City, NV. Under general supervision, the Imaging & Preservation Services (IPS) Manager will be tasked with developing, executing and assessing an integrated imaging and preservation strategy that is aligned with NSLAPR's IPS priorities; reviewing, tracking, and analyzing project impact and value-added to determine progress in meeting the IPS objectives; ensuring that IPS project processes meet legal, audit and internal accounting requirements; and providing programmatic and regulatory management of IPS process including creation of statements of work (SOW) and evaluative criteria, and related documents. Additional duties include managing user training and software help desk; maintaining oversight over IPS web-based content management system, OnBase; and acting as liaison between the IPS and the OnBase service provider. This position will also be responsible for collaborating with other Archives and Records staff to market the IPS program; communicating stories about IPS customers and promoting state and local awareness about IPS program; staying ahead of trends in imaging preservation where appropriate; responding to internal and external inquiries about IPS; evaluating and producing written Statements of Work to customer inquiries; and understanding records retention schedules.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in history, information management or closely related field and three years of progressively responsible experience in records retention and management which included the appraisal, retention, disposition, and/or the protection of records, one year of which was at the professional level; OR certification as a Records Manager by the Institute of Certified Records Managers; OR an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in history, geography, information management or closely related field and four years progressively responsible experience in records retention and management; OR one year as a Records Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
