The Position
Under immediate supervision, incumbents perform duties below the journey level while receiving training for advancement to an entry-level professional health/human services class.
The Nevada DIVISION OF PUBLIC AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH (DPBH) is recruiting for multiple Health Facilities Inspector vacancies within our Health Care Quality and Compliance (HCQC) program located in Carson City, and Las Vegas, NV. The positions are located in Las Vegas and Carson City, Nevada. These positions will be responsible for conducting initial, and periodic inspections as well as complaint investigations of Community Based Living Arrangement (CBLA) homes. Inspectors are responsible for writing inspection reports after conducting inspections/investigations, reviewing plans of correction, and providing technical assistance to providers as needed to improve client outcomes and assure regulatory compliance. This position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to travel to CBLA homes throughout Nevada as needed to conduct inspections. Travel more than 50% of the time will be required. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, early childhood development, psychology, public health, special education, nursing, or other discipline directly related to the field in which the applicant is to be trained; OR two years of journey level technical or paraprofessional experience in the field in which the applicant is to be trained. (NOTE: some jobs strictly require a bachelor's degree).

    Applicants must have a current Driver's License.

    A pre-employment criminal background and fingerprint check is required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
