Information Technology (IT) Technicians install, configure, monitor, and maintain networks and monitor and maintain help desk user support or mainframe and server operations.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
This position is within the Secretary of State's (SOS) IT Desktop Support section. The incumbent manages Helpdesk activities and ensures IT customer service to the agency. The incumbent serves as the Senior Desktop Support Lead and supervises three Desktop/Helpdesk personnel. Duties include hardware/software troubleshooting, PC deployment, managing SOS Ticketing Software Track-It, and helpdesk phone support for the north and south. Travel up to 25% of the time may be required.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of IT work experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of network workstation hardware and software; OR one year of experience as an IT Technician V in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with Track-IT Ticketing software.
