Licensed Psychologists provide psychological testing, evaluation, psychotherapy, counseling, and consultation to clients or inmates in residential, inpatient and outpatient settings, at a mental health, intellectual disabilities, or correctional facility, or in other settings where psychological services are provided.
Incumbents function as managers who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of subordinate supervisors; develop policies and procedures; and allocate staff and resources to accomplish goals and objectives.
The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH) is recruiting for a Licensed Psychologist 2 for Rural Clinics. The position will be located in Carson City. This position will provide all psychologist services provided across Rural Clinics offices as well as provide clinical supervision for licensed clinical personnel, including Licensed Psychologist 1 positions, Clinical Program Managers, Licensed Clinical Social Worker 3's, etc. This position will work with the Utilization Management and Process Improvement (UM/PI) team on development of training and improvements to service provision. This position will also provide oversight to clinical services and other supports provided through universities and other community partners. As a supervisory position, this position would ensure the completion of required paperwork by those supervised. This position may provide direct service provision or psychological testing services at multiple sites. Rural Clinics is comprised of 16 outpatient behavioral health clinics located throughout rural Nevada. Services include targeted case management, rehabilitation, therapy, testing, medication clinic, jail diversion, and children's programs, and crisis intervention to both children and adults. Travel will be required.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Two years of post-doctoral experience in providing psychological services in an inpatient, outpatient or residential setting, which must have included one year of experience in the supervision of clinicians. |

Licensed Psychologist I's and Licensed Psychologist II's must possess current licensure as a Psychologist issued by the State of Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners at the time of appointment and maintain licensure as a condition of continuing employment. |

This position requires experience in analyzing program performance. |
