Business Process Analysts apply an in-depth knowledge of the agency's program areas to define and implement a solution to a given problem that requires an individually tailored response for end-user requirements.

Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (DHCFP/Medicaid), Information Services-Business Process Management Unit Carson City, NV.
Business Process Analysts apply an in-depth knowledge of the agency's program areas to define and implement a solution to a given problem that requires an individually tailored response for end-user requirements. Analyze business processes; develop requirements by participating in agency program planning; test system functionality by preparing test plans and participating in quality assurance; monitor system implementation by participating in procedure development and evaluation; analyze the regulatory environment by reviewing new and revised federal and State laws, regulation, and agency policies and interpreting their effect on the program area; coordinate with other professional staff. A program is defined as any social welfare or health insurance program.
This position is the technical bridge between program staff and Medicaid's fiscal agent and MMIS operations vendor(s). This position researches and resolves discrepancies in recipient eligibility and enrollment. This position is pivotal in the Change management process to ensure Division staff understands how to best achieve their program goals in the information system(s).
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, management information systems, or other disciplines related to the assignment and one year of professional experience analyzing and interpreting program laws, regulations, policies and procedures, which included experience applying recognized data processing concepts to business process planning and analyses; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for fingerprinting.
A State of Nevada/ FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.

The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview. The hiring agency may require specific skills related testing as part of the interviewing process.
