The Position
Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
The Nevada DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (DCFS) is recruiting for a Management Analyst to be located in our Reno, NV office. This position manages a children's mental health services billing unit of Northern Nevada Child and Adolescent Services. The Nevada DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (DCFS), together in genuine partnership with families, communities and other governmental agencies, provides support and services to assist Nevada's children and families in reaching their full human potential. DCFS recognizes that Nevada's families are our future and children, youth and families thrive when they live in safe permanent settings, experience a sense of sustainable emotional and physical wellbeing, and receive support to consistently make positive choices for family and the common good. DCFS utilizes a family centered model in delivering services that is focused on engaging children, families and the family team, and encouraging their participation in decisions. DCFS programs include child protective and welfare service delivery in rural Nevada and oversight of urban county-operated child protective and welfare services, children's mental/behavioral health treatment and residential services (outpatient and inpatient acute) in urban Nevada, and statewide juvenile justice services including state-operated youth training centers and youth parole. DCFS is an extremely complex organization with incredibly dedicated and professional staff that are committed to the Nevada children and families we serve!

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and one year of professional or paraprofessional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures, or administration of policies and procedures for a program or functional area; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis.
Special Requirements
    A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
Additional Position Criteria
    Experience with Medicaid billing.
