Clinical Program Planners perform and supervise a variety of planning and analytical functions in support of clinical programs and activities within divisions of the Department of Health and Human Services, including quality improvement, program design, policy and procedure development, program evaluation, research, contract and grant development and administration, strategic planning, and training initiatives.
The Division of Public and Behavioral Health, Bureau of Behavioral Health, Wellness, and Prevention is looking for a Clinical Program Planner 1. This position is located in Carson City, NV. Clinical Program Planners plan, coordinate, and monitor quality improvement and strategic planning activities; develop policies and procedures for quality assurance and quality improvement processes relating to internal programs and community providers; design and conduct program evaluations for use in program planning, budget development, and resource allocation decisions; develop clinical practice guidelines and standards incorporating evidence-based best practices. The Bureau of Behavioral Health, Wellness, and Prevention works to integrate behavioral into healthcare, guides policy for behavioral healthcare statewide, and manages several funding streams to promote the expansion and innovation in mental health and substance abuse prevention, treatment, and recovery. We work closely with other Divisions within the Department of Health and Human Services to provide subject matter expertise on behavioral health.
Incumbent will also participate in facilitating technical assistance to community providers and act as a liaison between local, state, and federal agencies. Travel up to 25% of the time may be required.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a social science or health related field, which included clinical intervention coursework, and two years of professional experience as a clinician in a mental health or intellectual disability service delivery setting. |

A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items. |

Clinical experience with both mental health and addiction treatment is required.

Experience conducting evaluation and analysis of healthcare and/or social service programs is required. |

Experience analyzing and interpreting data for program budget development, resource allocation, and grant reporting is required. |
