Career Aids typically perform routine clerical/technical support duties which are familiarizing in nature and are
related to the classes for which the Career Aids are being trained.
Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation.
This position works within the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Division of Museums and History at the Lost City Museum in Overton, Nevada. The position is responsible for: greeting customers entering the Museum Store; conducting and completing sales transactions in a retail setting using a Point-of-Sale computer; closing out the register, counting money, and preparing end-of-day documents; maintaining a neat and clean store, to include performing light cleaning; stocking shelves; logging and opening incoming packages, copying and date stamping invoices received, counting items, filing invoices in proper place; as well as assisting the Career Aide III with pricing items with POS tags and displaying items for sale or in inventory back up storage. *** THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE AT ANY TIME BASED ON THE AMOUNT OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED.
