The Position
Audiovisual Technicians install, repair, and maintain audiovisual equipment.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This is an Audiovisual Technician 2 position with the Department of Administration, Public Works Division located in Carson City NV. The incumbent will provide technical support required to maintain, operate and troubleshoot videoconferencing systems installed for state agencies. This will include setup and operation of equipment including Cisco, Polycom, Lifesize, Crestron and Tandberg systems configured for any particular room orientation required. This position will also replace and install new security cameras including new circuiting, install and adjust C-cure card reader systems and I-Star panels, install data cabling patch panels and switches for low-voltage systems, coordinate and assist with installation of lighting systems. The selected candidate must be able to work flexible/rotating shifts, nights/weekends/holidays and standby/call back. *** THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE AT ANYTIME BASED ON THE AMOUNT OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of full-time experience performing the repair and maintenance of audiovisual, electronic or telemedia equipment; OR one year of experience as an Audiovisual Technician I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The Examination
