Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action.
This is a newly created position assigned to the Department of Public Safety, Office of Cyber Defense Coordination (OCDC). Under the direction of the Cyber Defense Administrator, this position serves as the Cyber Intelligence Analyst and the point of contact within the Nevada Threat Analysis Center, which is the State Fusion Center. The position will manage the intelligence program related to cyber threats. Some of the duties include gathering, analyzing, and disseminating cyber intelligence based on established cycle; and preparing, analyzing and sending cybercrimes alerts, bulletins and advisories from federal, state, local law enforcement, and private sector organizations within the cyber defense community. The position will manage the intelligence cycle and interact with executives at the federal, state and local level, as well as interactions with private sector executives to communicate sensitive cyber intelligence information. The position will also conduct outreach with the users of cyber intelligence to assess the effectiveness of the information and services being provided; and develop strategies, plans and recommendations for policy changes. Additional duties include providing intelligence briefings to high level officials and developing and disseminating educational and sensitive cyber crimes information. **THE SELECTED CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN A FEDERAL SECURITY CLEARANCE AS A CONDITION OF CONTINUING EMPLOYMENT.**
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and three years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR one year experience as a Management Analyst II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis. |

Without the required Bachelor's degree this position would require 7 years of experience of which 2 years were at the paraprofessional level and 5 years that were at the professional level performing research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures.

A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant. |

A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. |

This position requires up to 25% travel. |

Experience developing written assessments based on research and evaluation. |

Experience providing technical recommendations pertaining to risks and control measures. |
