Information Technology (IT) Professionals analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify computer operations, systems, networks, databases, applications, and/or information security. Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency.
This position works within the Department of Administration's Enterprise IT Services (EITS) Division, Security Group and is located in Carson City, NV. The incumbent will work with stakeholders and customers to develop a comprehensive Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) program within the State. Duties will include developing strategies, procedures and controls to ensure compliance with Federal, regulatory and legal requirements, including HIPAA, FISMA, CJIS and IRS Publication 1075; acting as Point Of Contact for audit and compliance activities between client agencies; project management of audit, compliance and governance activities involving EITS and various agencies; assisting agency ISOs in tracking and reporting on compliance issues and activities to correct/mitigate deficiencies; assisting agency ISOs in establishing and overseeing formal risk analysis and self-assessment programs. This position will also be responsible for ensuring State security policies, standards and procedures are reviewed and updated regularly; consulting with other State of Nevada agencies to aid them in development of GRC programs; and act as Subject Matter Expert on GRC issues. *** THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE AT ANYTIME BASED ON THE AMOUNT OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, management information systems, or closely related field and five years of progressively responsible professional IT experience relevant to the duties of the position which may include systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analysis and development, and/or information security, two years of which were at the advanced journey level or in a supervisory or project management capacity; OR bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science,management information systems, or closely related field and five years of progressively responsible professional IT experience which may include systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analysis and development, and/or information security, relevant to the duties of the position, two years of which were at the journey level in information security; OR two years of relevant experience as an IT Professional III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
