Business Process Analysts apply an in-depth knowledge of the agency's program areas to define and implement a solution to a given problem that requires an individually tailored response for end-user requirements.

This position works in the Cyber Security unit within the Office of Informatics and Technology (OIT) headquartered in Carson City, NV. The position will analyze and interpret program laws, regulations, policies and procedures consistent with industry, state, and federal best practice standards; analyze organizational and administrative programs, policies and procedures; develop, review, and maintain policy/procedural documentation and document integrity; and develop and/or assist in the development of Information Security and Cyber Security related training materials, to include staff training using various forms of delivery. Must have the ability to work effectively on multiple projects with overlapping deadlines and work well with frequent interruptions and must have exceptional written and verbal communication and collaboration skills. This position administers divisional social media campaign policy/procedures and is back up to the division ISO. NOTE: THIS POSITION IS AN UNDERFILL FOR A BUSINESS PROCESS ANALYST 2. INCUMBENT MAY MOVE TO THE NEXT LEVEL UPON MEETING THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, SATISFACTORY PERFORMANCE, AND WITH ENDORSEMENT OF THE APPOINTING AUTHORITY.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, management information systems, or other disciplines related to the assignment and one year of professional experience analyzing and interpreting program laws, regulations, policies and procedures, which included experience applying recognized data processing concepts to business process planning and analyses; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for fingerprinting.
This position is subject to call-out or call-back.
Additional Position Experience
Experience assisting with analyzing, interpreting and implementing program related policy and procedures is required.
