The Position
Personnel Analysts are responsible for performing comprehensive personnel functions for a state department, division or agency. Work may involve employee relations, recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, employee development, benefit administration, staffing and payroll.
This position is located with the Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD), Carson City, NV. The incumbent will report directly to the Human Resource Analyst II and will supervise a team of human resource technicians. Duties will include managing the documentation, coordination and distribution of personnel actions, recruitment and selection, completion of classification and compensation related paperwork; assisting in the development and implementation of updated Division policies and procedures; assistance in tracking legislative bills and changes; holding weekly meetings with supervisor and staff; and coordination with the southern ADSD human resource team to provide assistance to ADSD management, division supervisors, and other statewide liaisons with personnel related tasks. ADSD provides an atmosphere of innovative thinking, teamwork, friendly co-workers, and promotes a positive work environment. The mission of Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) is to provide leadership and advocacy in the planning, development and delivery of a high quality, comprehensive support service system across the lifespan to allow all of Nevada's elders, children and adults with disabilities or special health care needs, to live independent, meaningful and dignified lives to the greatest extent possible.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in public administration or a related field; OR three years of experience as a Personnel Technician III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
    Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
