The Position
Program Officers administer a program or major component of a program by planning, coordinating and managing services and activities in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements and established program performance standards and objectives.
The Program Officer 3 is responsible for program development, coordination, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures to meet the service needs of students and youth with disabilities as well as those who are most significantly disabled. The incumbent will work with students and youth with disabilities, counselors, employers, school districts, charter schools, private and public training providers, community rehabilitation programs, and rehabilitation providers in the collaboration of Vocational Rehabilitation agency transition programs. This position will also assist in the development and monitoring of contracts and cooperative agreements for the provision of pre-employment transition services and supported employment. The incumbent will apply both federal and state law, policies and practices pertinent to the provision of vocational rehabilitation services; develop or modify rules, policy or standards in collaboration with the Quality Control Specialist regarding youth, transition and supported services; deliver presentations, training and instruction to staff, management, clients, community partners, school district staff or the general public; act as a resource to provide information or determine the most effective way of meeting the needs of school districts, staff, clients and community partners; act as a resource for management and staff; and provide technical support within area of responsibility. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business or public administration, or other discipline related to the program assignment and two years of professional experience in planning, coordinating or administering a program which included interpretation of laws and regulations; development of program policy and procedures; development and implementation of program performance standards and objectives for providing services; and development and implementation of eligibility requirements; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Program Officer II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

4) What is your experience collaborating with community partners, schools, parent organizations or state agencies?
5) Describe your experience with monitoring programs, include examples of tracking data and maintaining spreadsheets.
