The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
Statewide.
Review Appraisers appraise real property and review appraisals of all types of properties including complex commercial, industrial and special purpose; prepare fully-supported and documented determinations of just compensation for the acquisition of rights-of-way or disposal of surplus properties; conduct market rent studies and cost estimates; and serve as an expert witness in condemnation proceedings.
Incumbents function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action.
Multiple positions are located within the Right-of-Way Division, in Carson City and Las Vegas, NV. Incumbents generate appraisal reports and reviews appraisal reports for eminent domain and internal purposes (surplus property rights and property management). Duties also include consulting, project specific cost estimating, and conducting research for various property right valuation problems. Women and under-represented groups are encouraged to apply. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Three years of experience as a real property appraiser or intern and current licensure as a Certified General Appraiser.
Special Requirements
A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment.
Licensure as a Certified General Appraiser issued by the Nevada State Real Estate Division is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
Incumbents with equivalent licensure or registration from another state must obtain licensure issued by the Nevada State Real Estate Division within twelve (12) months of appointment.
