The Position
Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.

This position is located within the Financial Management Division of the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT). Incumbent is responsible for interpreting and applying all federal and state fund guidance and legislation, including monitoring and managing all guidance and regulations mandated by federal transportation acts and state legislation; researching, tracking, allocating, and managing federal and state funding; tracking past debts; allocating current funding, and forecasting future revenue/debt; developing, maintaining, and understanding current and future databases and computer systems in order to compile and run financial reports for internal and external customers. This position is also the back-up to the Chief and Management Analyst 4 positions and may perform reconciliation of funds/budget, journal vouchers, correspondence, ad hoc reports, and other duties as assigned. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and three years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR one year experience as a Management Analyst II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis.
Additional Position Experience
    Experience interpreting and applying federal regulations and guidance for financial grants management and federal programs.
    Experience querying and analyzing financial data and developing financial reports.
    Experience performing financial analysis of data from multiple sources and developing reports, presentations, and recommendations for management, legislature, or governing boards.
