Under immediate supervision, incumbents perform duties at the sub-journey level while receiving training for advancement to an entry-level professional class. This class may be used for entry into Loan Officer, State Land Agent, Personnel Analyst, Training Officer, Economist, Transportation Planner/Analyst and other professional series in any department of State government.
Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation.

Agency HR Services (AHRS) invites you to join their exciting, innovative and very fast-paced human resources team as a Staff Professional Trainee underfilling the position of a Personnel Analyst I, within the Division of Human Resource Management located in Carson City, NV. AHRS serves multiple state agencies including the Departments of Tourism & Cultural Affairs, Agriculture, Education, Administration, Taxation, and Business & Industry. The Staff Professional Trainee will serve as the Workers' Compensation liaison for all of the agencies we serve. The incumbent will also be involved in employee relations, consulting with managers, supervisors and employees on workplace issues, grievances and disciplinary actions. Additionally, the incumbent will develop a thorough knowledge of the variety of unique classifications in order to assist agencies with their organizational needs and provide effective recruiting strategies. Coordinating and facilitating high volume recruiting is an integral part of this position.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in any field; OR two years of journey level technical or paraprofessional experience in the field in which the applicant is to be trained. |

The ability to travel at least 50% of the time is required. |
|
A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
|
|
Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment. |
|
Experience with recruiting processes using the NEATS system. |
|
