The Position
Clinical Program Planners perform and supervise a variety of planning and analytical functions in support of clinical programs and activities within divisions of the Department of Health and Human Services, including quality improvement, program design, policy and procedure development, program evaluation, research, contract and grant development and administration, strategic planning, and training initiatives.
Incumbents function as managers who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of subordinate supervisors; develop policies and procedures; and allocate staff and resources to accomplish goals and objectives.
The Clinical Program Planner 3 position is located with Northern Nevada Adult Mental Services (NNAMHS) and will serve as the Outpatient Services Manager. The incumbent will direct and supervise the Mental Health Court, Service Coordination, the Assertive Community Treatment Program and Residential Services. Responsibilities include ensuring program compliance with Medicaid requirements, oversight of program budgets to meet fiscal responsibilities, and acting as a community liaison. Incumbent will train, supervise and evaluate the performance of subordinate supervisors; develop policies and procedures; and allocate staff and resources to accomplish goals and objectives. Travel up to 25% of the time may be required. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a social science or health related field, which included clinical intervention coursework, and four years of professional experience in a mental health or intellectual disability service delivery setting including work as a clinician and in program evaluation and/or program planning. One year of the required experience must have included supervision of professionals; OR an equivalent combination of experience and education above the master's degree level.
Special Requirements
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
