Information Technology (IT) Professionals analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify computer operations, systems, networks, databases, applications, and/or information security. Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency.

Incumbents perform supervisory duties and manage projects of varying size, scope, and impact to agency operations to include serving as the project leader; planning, organizing, and directing project activities; resolving design conflicts; data administration; resource allocation; contract negotiation; timeline development; critical path tracking; justifying the need for additional resources; and coordination with other work units within and outside the organization as assigned. Non-supervisory positions must spend the preponderance of their time performing the most advanced professional work in project management and oversight or technology planning and consultation.

This position is located within the Information Technology Division in Carson City. Incumbent will be the Senior Scrum Professional and will lead a team of Scrum Masters overseeing various scrum teams throughout the IT Division. The IT Division is in the process of fully moving to working Scrum including the leadership team. Duties include serving as scrum master of a team, providing coaching, training, and supervision of the scrum masters. Previous experience as a Scrum master will be beneficial. Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) and Department of Transportation or state government experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience with Agile Techniques such as User Stories, continuous integration, and adhering to the traditional ceremonies and processes. Agile experience including strong leadership, coaching, communication, organizational, and customer relation skills will be a plus for this position. The incumbent will also provide training/coaching to product owners and coordinate special projects as required and assist in the development and direction of RFP/RFIs utilizing the agile framework for delivery.
